Photography has been one of the great loves of my life. I hope that I am able to impart just a little of that enthusiasm to the pictures I take. During a session, or formals, I will pose people (when I have to), but I tend to love the candid images so much more. I really love to capture the truth of people, the way people feel in a given situation, or about a specific person.
Equipment
I use a Canon EOS-1DS Mark II. If my not so veiled attempt at name dropping was just lost on you, it's a 16.7 megapixel SLR. If that still doesn't mean anything to you, take my gadget-geek word for it, it's very very nice. I use a professional quality printer that takes up to twenty four inch paper.Materials
When I make prints, as a general rule, I use archival inks, and archival paper. That means the prints don't fade for generations. I think we've all seen an old picture (and sadly, often a not so old picture) that is literally disappearing before our eyes. I can's stress enough the importance of Archival materials for your priceless images.

Once an image has been captured digitally, it can easily be shared in an email, put into a slideshow, placed in a word processing document, posted online in a blog or website, written to a CD or DVD for viewing on a computer or Television, adjusted for personal printing, and so much more.
I take very high quality digital images, and I have lots of software and computer gadgetry to have fun with them after I've got them. I'll be posting more examples of my work as time permits, so check back often!
